The fuel cell stack –
the heart of the system.
Some hundreds of fuel cells, stacked behind one another and put together as a module, form the highly capable energy package of the fuel cell system. NuCellSys relies on the high-capacity stack modules of the alliance partner Ballard Power Systems.
A perfectly dosed hydrogen and oxygen supply of the stack as well as the refined and precise actuation of all system components are decisive for the performance, safety, and dynamic response of the entire fuel cell system. Here, the core competence of NuCellSys is required. Thanks to painstaking development and optimization work, the HY-80 system has reached a degree of maturity which allows a first small-scale series production of fuel cell vehicles. These vehicles are proving their worth in customer hands during harsh field tests and use under everyday conditions in climates across the globe.
